Horses Unemployed... Who Could Have Guessed Back Then?



The "horseless carriage" was a huge innovation at the turn of the 20th century. They were originally powered by steam engines. Later, internal combustion engines replaced the steam engines. I wonder how many out-of-work horses filed for unemployment?

Who could have guessed back then that the burning of wood, coal, and later gasoline would create opportunities for inventors 100 years later to combat global warming caused in-part by them?
